About AB art
I am Anna.
I studied Hitory of Art and cultural managing. In my small room in Berlin I have been doing handicrafts, painting and sewing part-time for a while, always trying to find new creative ways to express myself.
These artistic experiments turned into a hobby and this hobby turned into a small one-person company that I'm currently running on a part-time basis.
I started with drawing and painting.
I've always liked that. I can bring in my feelings, try out, scribble, discard, learn, explore myself and the world and, above all, switch off.
Although I hardly wear any jewelry myself,
i added jewelry production to my hobbies. With this I explored new materials: paper, cardboard, stones, glass, metal, wire, nail polish, foils, etc.
I started the sales first to finance the materials for this hobby and because it would be a shame if the resulting pieces of jewelry weren't worn by anyone.
AB art
is made up of my initials and art - in German it is at the same time a play on words with “abartig”. Synonyms: strange, unusual, special, strange, peculiar, original, curious, witty, absurd, unnatural, different, abnormal, outrageous, inappropriate, deviant ...
Is it art what I do? Can I define it as art or is that inappropriate?
Do not let yourself be restricted in your creativity,
create limitless and everything that you feel like doing and that you enjoy. Experiment, research and try out. Stay curious!
Maybe the result is something that you want to share with others and maybe it makes the world a little more beautiful at least on a small scale or makes some persons happy.
